Primavera Coppa Italia final first leg: Juventus 1-1 Napoli
Napoli go to the San Paolo with a slender advantage after securing a 1-1 draw away to Juventus in the first leg of the Primavera Coppa Italia final.
They were perhaps slightly undeserving of the draw, secured through a Gennaro Tutino goal after Matteo Gerbaudo had given the Bianconeri the lead.
Gerbaudo caught the Partenopei defence napping after just a minute by finding space behind them but could only angle his drive wide of the upright.
Not long afterwards, the exciting and on-form Stefano Beltrame fired an angled drive towards goal which clipped the post as Marco Baroni’s men continued to look dangerous.
Two minutes after the start of the second half, Juventus got the goal that their performance merited when Gerbaudo freed himself of his marker to head home a Stefano Padovan free-kick.
However, midway through the half, the Vesuviani got the goal that gives them the advantage ahead of the second leg with a superb strike, Tutino picking the ball up at the back post, skipping past a challenge and firing home from an almost impossible angle.
