Roma to name new stadium after top scoring Totti?

With set to move to a new stadium by 2016, they are discussing the possibility of naming their new home after captain and club legend .

‘Er Pupone’ of course, drew level with Gunnar Nordahl on Sunday night as the second highest goalscorer in history.

Corriere dello SportĀ are reporting today that while the decision will not have to be made for a few years yet, it is certainly something that they are considering.

In the past when this has been mentioned, it has been greeted positively by the Giallorossi supporters who would welcome such a decision for their new 60,000 capacity ground.

It would seem a perfect way to honour one of their greatest ever players and one of the finest champions in the history of calcio.
