In light of Sunday evening’s encounter between Sampdoria and Inter being postponed, the two clubs are arguing over when the rescheduled match should take place.

Inter would prefer to have the match played on Wednesday April 10, however, Sampdoria do not want to play a midweek match before their clash with Genoa that following Sunday.

According to Genoa-based paperĀ Il Secolo XIX, the Blucerchiati are lobbying for Monday April 2 as the restart date even though it would mean having a day less of rest than if the match were to be played on the 10th.

The match, originally scheduled for March 17, was cancelled due to torrential rains hitting the Ligurian capital throughout the day.

Both sides are scheduled to next play on March 30, with Sampdoria travelling to Bergamo to take on Atalanta while Inter are hosting Juventus in the Derby D’Italia.
