Scolari Praises Italy
Brazil coach Luis Felipe Scolari addressed the media prior to Thursday night’s match between Brazil and Italy in Geneva, and in doing so, praised the Azzurri for their “renewal process.”
“The Azzurri are at a more advanced stage of the renewal process compared to us,” said Scolari.
“My Brazil has been working together for only two games, whereas Cesare Prandelli’s side is Vice-Champion of Europe.”
Scolari, who has had a lengthy coaching career with over 20 clubs and countries, took over Brazil for a second time last November. Brazil are currently eighteenth in the FIFA World Rankings while Italy sit fifth.
Italy will follow-up Thursday match with a World Cup Qualifier versus Malta next Tuesday.
