Southampton are reportedly back in the race to sign Davide Astori from Cagliari.
The Premier League club were close to signing the 26-year-old in January but a fee between the clubs could not be agreed.
However, according to reports in the peninsula the Saints are back in for the defender and will look to make a €10 million plus bid in the near future, with the Rossoblu demanding a minimum of €12m.
Astori has also attracted interest from the likes of Napoli and AC Milan, but Southampton are thought to be favourites to land his signature.
