Agent denies Torino defender is set for Lazio move
Torino defender Angelo Obgonna will not be moving to Lazio in the summer according to the player’s agent.
The highly-rated centre-back seems destined to leave the Granata at the end of the season, but it seems his destination will not be the Biancocelesti.
Lazio are the latest in a host of clubs to be linked with the 24-year-old, after Claudio Lotito commented on the defender in the build-up to Sunday’s match between the two clubs.
Lotito praised Ogbonna, stating that he was a good player, and that good players can play for Lazio.
Lazio fansite La Lazio Siamo Noi contacted Ogbonna’s agent, who denied any involvement between his player and the Roman club.
“I know nothing”, said Giovanni Branchini.
“I read it too, and it sounded like a joke. It is a useless comment if it has no foundation”.
Ogbonna, who is currently absent from both the Torino and Italy squads with a thigh injury, is said to be valued around €20 million by the Granata.
That fee has not deterred suitors for the defender with AC Milan, Roma and Fiorentina all linked with moves for the Frosinone native
