UEFA rejects Lazio appeal
Lazio will be playing in an empty Stadio Olimpico for their next two European match as a result of Lazio fans misbehaving during the 2-0 win over German side Borussia Moenchengladbach.
The Aquile lost their appeal to UEFA to lift the ban after disagreeing with the verdict.
The Stadio Olimpico outfit were also fined €40,000 on top of this.
The ban that is now imposed will mean that the Stadio Olimpico will be empty when Lazio host Stuttgart on 14 March in the second leg of their last-16 tie in the Europa League with a 2-0 lead from the first tie.
Lazio advanced over Mönchengladbach with 5-3 on aggregate following a 3-3 draw in the first leg .
