AC Milan’s Kevin Constant has credited coach Massimiliano Allegri for being the inspiration behind the Rossoneri’s incredible mid-season resurgence up the standings.
The Rossoneri began the season poorly, at one point finding themselves in the lower half of the Serie A table.
Milan have now climbed all the way back up to third place, just behind Napoli. As a result it is looking increasingly likely that they will qualify for a spot in next year’s Champions League competition.
“We started the season badly but we have improved. This is down to the coach who has got his message across to all the players,” Constant was quoted as saying on the official Milan website.
Constant also discussed the importance of this weekend’s fixture against Juventus.
He said: “It’s an important match psychologically for us. We are four points behind Napoli and now we have to do everything to win.”
The previous match between the two saw Milan defeat Juventus 1-0 thanks to a Robinho strike.
