Barcelona have been targeting two Roma players in Miralem Pjanic and Marquinhos but it seems only the latter will be a viable option for them to sign.

In interviews today, Pjanic along with defender Ivan Piris put forward their desire to remain in the capital while the Brazilian was not so forthright regarding his future in the capital.

He told Il Tempo: “I am having a magical time and enjoying myself here. For now, my thoughts are on the rest of the season and the Coppa Italia final but I cannot rule anything out.”

The Bosnian though, speaking about his future, stated: “So far we have not had the results we expected but there is a great future and stability to build something great at this club and I hope that in the next few years we will have a lot of success with our fans, starting with raising the cup next month.”

His teammate Piris has been linked strongly with a departure having failed to impress this season but speaking at a dinner, he admitted that “I want to stay here.”
