AC Milan are looking to add Barcelona midfielder Thiago Alcantara to their ranks but will have to move quickly to snap up the Brazilian before his price tag escalates.
A term in the twenty two year old’s contract was triggered after failing to appear in 60 per cent of the matches in which he was eligible meaning that he can be bought out for a fee believed to be €18m.
The deal for Thiago must be wrapped up by the 1st August as this date marks the time in which this bizarre contract clause returns to the usual buy out clause of €90m.
With Barcelona not offering a new deal to the Italian born midfielder, the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City and European Champions Bayern Munich are all swooping hoping to land the youngster’s signature.
