Arsenal is reportedly set to increase their offer to Fiorentina for striker Stevan Jovetic.
Arsene Wenger, looking to bolster his attacking depth over the transfer period, sees the Viola starlet as the perfect summer signing for the Gunners.
A report in La Nazione suggests the Gunners are ready to bid €28 million for the 23-year-old Montenegrin international, who has 12 goals from 27 Serie A appearances this season for the Viola.
Arsenal will need to fight off other Premier League clubs, to land Jovetic in north London, as the young stars stocks continue to rise.
Signed in 2008, Jovetic has since gone on to represent the Florence club 112 times in Serie A, becoming a pivotal part of Vincezo Montella’s side.
Fiorentina, who sit fourth on the standings with 61 points, are just outside of Champions League qualification spot, a competition the Montenegrin is desperate to play in.

Jovetic will boost our squad but I still think we should also buy David Villa regardless of age. We only have Giroud and unfortunately Gervinho who is a striker. Podolski Walcott are more wide players…if we get those two up front the options and depth increase dramatically. We need a good DM, I dunno much about Capoue and Gonalons but I’ve heard good things. Maybe Wanyama but I don’t think he’s talented enough for Arsenal. Another CB like Williams and trade Vermaelan plush cash for Villa or Fabregas. Another right back to give Jenks support and a quality GK like Adler. Mignolet and Begovic are way to expensive especially considering their teams position in the EPL table. So all in all 25£ Jovetic,5£ Adler, 10£-15£ Capoue or Gonalons, 12£ Villa, 10-15£ Williams, priority. I also think we could use another attacking midfielder w Arshavin finally leaving and Jack and Santi way too inconsistent, we need another Rosicky type. That’s all and COYG
