Fiorentina could be set to sign Manchester City goalkeeper Costel Pantilimon this summer.
The 26-year-old has seen his first team opportunities limited to cup competitions at the City of Manchester Stadium and feels a move would be best for his career.
“My experience with City is not over yet, but I do want to talk to the directors,” he told La Nazione.
“I am 26 years old, in the prime of my career, and I certainly can’t be happy with playing five games per season. I thought I’d at least play the FA Cup Final, but instead.
“Interest from Fiorentina? My agents are working on it, as I am focused only on my football. Bogdan Lobont and Cristian Chivu told me great things about Florence and Serie A would be a dream for me.
“I also talked with Matija Nastasic about the Viola, while the team currently has my former Manchester City teammates David Pizarro and Stefan Savic.”
