Fiorentina are ready to rekindle their interest in Queens Park Rangers midfielder Esteban Granero.

La Viola reportedly bid for the Spaniard in January, but were knocked back and eventually signed Mohamed Sissoko from Paris Saint-Germain, instead.

Following the Hoops relegation from the Premier League, however, many of their top earners are expected to depart, with Fiorentina ready to pounce.

According to calciomercato, sporting director Daniele Pradè is willing to bid up to €8 million for the 25-year-old, a fee that would match his release clause.

Granero has previously stated that he would be willing to stay, but the lure of European football may prove difficult to resist.

The former Getafe midfielder joined Queens Park Rangers from Real Madrid last summer for a reported fee or £9 million and has made 23 appearances this season, scoring once.
