Napoli have long been admires of Cagliari players Radja Nainggolan and Davide Astori, and reports suggest the two have now agreed a pre-contract deal to move to the San Paolo outfit for next season.

Nainggolan is one of the most targeted players in all of Europe and was close to signing with Napoli last January. That move fell through at the last minute due to Cagliari president Massimo Cellino being unhappy with the final deal. However, it looks as though the president, who is under house arrest currently, has agreed to the transfer.

Meanwhile, Astori had been linked with both Liverpool and Southampton in the English Premier league as well as AC Milan in Italy. He will most likely replace Hugo Campagnaro, who is expected to finalise a move to Inter at the end of the term.

The signing of both players is expected to be announced in the coming weeks and their additions will be seen as a coup for Napoli.

The club look likely to finish second and qualify directly to the Champions League. If the signings are confirmed, both will play a large part in Napoli’s season in 2013/14.
