Roma are set to sign a new goalkeeper in the summer transfer window as Maarten Stekelenburg looks set to leave, with Fulham a likely destination.

The 30-year-old was set to leave the Giallorossi in the Janauary transfer window, but the deal fell through when the capital club could not find a suitable replacement.

Tuttosport are reporting that Roma are set to sign Santos’s Rafael, thus opening the door for the former Ajax number one to finally land in the Premier League.

Stekelenburg joined the Giallorossi in 2011 after completing a €6 million move from Ajax, but has failed to assert himself as the number one shot stopper in that time.
