Lazio’s Antonio Candreva has expressed his delight at being Included in Italy’s squad for the Confederations Cup beginning June 15.
Cesare Prandelli cut his squad from 31 to 23 with the midfielder making the cut.
“I am proud and delighted to be part of the 23 participating in the Confederations and would like to bring in this group the good done in Lazio,” Candreva told the press.
Candreva made his Italy debut in 2009 while at Livorno in a 0-0 draw against The Netherlands, while the last of his seven Italy caps was earned in a 2-0 win over Malta; Candreva came on as a substitute on the hour mark.
Candreva made 48 appearances for Biancocelesti last season scoring seven goals as well as assisting in seven goals.
