Fiorentina starlet keeping his options open

Adem Ljajic - FiorentinaFiorentina winger Adem Ljajic is keeping his options open regarding his future and a potential contract renewal.

The Serbian wide man, 21, has has an excellent season scoring eleven goals in the league. The player’s contract expires in 2014 meaning that  he could potentially leave the Viola for nothing in twelve months time.

Tuttomercatoweb.com relaid details of a interview Ljajic did with with Serbian television’s RTV where he spoke about his future and the fact that he was all set to move to Manchester United when he was a teenage but they pulled out of the deal at the last minute.

“I do not know why I was not acquired by United, but this allowed me to get into Serie A with Fiorentina. I’m happy with the choice, I’m in Florence very well, I still have a contract for another year, we’ll see what happens,” he said.

“The league which just ended was very important, especially in the second round because I was able to score for 10 times while also providing many assists to my teammates.”

Ljajic is currently not being considered for the Serbian national team due to a dispute with coach Sinisa Mihajlovic.
