Thiago Silva - AC MilanPSG defender Thiago Silva has admitted he misses playing in Italy as the Brazilian national team prepare to take on Italy on Saturday.

The former AC Milan defender left the club last summer in a €42 million move that saw him join the free-spending French club.

While Silva admits that he had difficulties settling in France, he states that he has since adjusted to his new home.

“Nostalgia for Italy? I miss Italy, just like I miss Milan,” he told Sky Sport.

“At the beginning of my stay in France I had some difficulties, but I have since acclimatized to it.

Silva also commented on Andrea Pirlo and Mario Balotelli, as Brazil is set to take on Italy on Saturday to decide who will win Group A in the Confederations Cup.

“Pirlo is one of the greatest players in the world, and then there is Balotelli in attack. It will be a very difficult match.”
