According to the player himself, Roma goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg’s future lies with Premier League outfit Fulham.
Although the deal has not been confirmed as official by either club, the Dutchman took to his Twitter page to reveal that a deal is done.
He tweeted from his page: “It is official, next season I will be a goalkeeper of Fulham FC.”
The former Ajax net-minder has endured a turbulent time with the Giallorossi throughout his two years there having been hung out to dry for some high-profile errors.
He was due to sign for the Cottagers in January on transfer deadline day but the move could not be forced through in time.
