lagioiadidiamanti_446999Antonio Conte has made no secret of the fact he would like to bring Alessandro Diamanti to Juventus, and the club have made Bologna an offer for the forward.

The Bianconeri coach sees Diamanti as an ideal playmaker, able to fit naturally into either of the 4-3-3 or 3-5-2 systems that he uses, and has persuaded the board to try to bring the 30-year-old to Turin.

According to TuttoMercatoWeb, the proposed deal is that Juventus will pay the Petroniani €4m and offer a player in exchange; either half of Frederik Sorensen, who is co-owned by the two clubs, or half ownership of one of Juve’s talented young strikers, either Manolo Gabbiadini, who has been on loan at Bologna from Juventus, or Ciro Immobile, who spent last season with Genoa.

Prato-born Diamanti, who had a spell in England with West Ham, has 11 Italy caps to his name, and has been with the Rossoblu for two years since joining the club from Brescia. He captained the club during the 2012/13 season, playing 34 games and scoring seven goals.

Juventus have already brought in Fernando Llorente on a free transfer this summer, but are looking to strengthen their squad to undertake a double assault on both domestic and European prizes next season.
