After weeks of rumours and negotiating, Juventus are set to capture the signature of Torino defender Angelo Ogbonna as early as this upcoming Monday.

Ogbonna would be the Bianconeri’s second capture in the transfer market in as many weeks after the acquisition of Carlos Tevez from Manchester City earlier this week.

La Stampa reports that Juventus and Ogbonna have agreed to personal terms, with the Italian international ready to sign a five year contract worth €1.8 million per year plus bonuses.

However, Juventus and their crosstown rivals have yet to agree on a transfer fee, with the latest reports rumoured to be somwhere between €8-10m plus Juventus’s half of Ciro Immobile.

Ogbonna has spent most of his professional career with Torino, becoming a mainstay in their back-line over the past several seasons, both in Serie A and in Serie B.

Capable of playing either a centre-back or left-back, Ogbonna’s tactical flexibility will be important for Juventus as they are expected to utilise both a three and four man defense next season.
