Lazio have identified QPR midfielder Adel Taarabt as their prime target should they fail to land Santos midfielder Felipe Anderson.
The Biancocelesti had all but agreed terms with Santos and the player but could not agree with the third party who own 50 per cent of the playmaker.
La Gazzetta dello Sport claim that Lazio sporting director Igli Tare will remain in Brazil for next two to three days to agree on a deal but if a positive solution cannot be made, if not, he will try to negotiate for QPR midfielder Adel Taarabt.
Taarabt, 24 has made over 150 appearances for the hoops scoring 34 goals.
