Napoli have taken an interest in Arsenal centre-back Laurent Koscielny, however, any future bid for the player depends on the fate of Edinson Cavani.Laurent Koscielny Arsenal

Much of Napoli’s transfer budget hinges on the potential sale of Cavani as the striker would bring in at least €60 million which would then be reinvested into the squad ahead of next season.

Should anyone match Napoli’s valuation of Cavani, currently set at €60m, Koscielny would be high up on the list of centre-backs the club would like to bring in as new coach Rafael Benitez is already quite familiar with him from his time in the Premier League.

Napoli would not be the only ones interested in the French international with the likes of Barcelona and Bayern Munich already tracking the 27-year-old, and according to TuttoMercatoWeb, Arsenal have set a €15m price-tag on the defender.

Koscielny has steadily improved during his time with the London club since joining from Lorient in 2010, appearing 34 times in all competitions for the Gunners this past season.
