Ishak Belfodil ParmaParma president Tommaso Ghirardi has stated that the club will not be selling Ishak Belfodil for less than €11 million.

The Algerian striker has been the subject of transfer rumours since January’s window, but the Crociati have thus far refused the advances of interested parties.

Ghirardi spoke to GR Parlamento about the 21-year-old’s transfer situation and admitted that Parma probably should have sold him at the start of the year.

“Belfodil has a number of requests from Italian and foreign clubs,” he said.

“We are evaluating the situation with calm, because we kept him in January despite getting a great offer for him.

“That was a mistake because his form in the second half of the season suffered as a result.

“It is normal that when big clubs arrive with massive wages it is right to let these players leave.”

The president then revealed that the player’s price tag is €11 million and explained why.

“We turned down an offer from a foreign side last week because we considered it as too low,” the 38-year-old continued.

“We rejected €11 million at the start of the year so he won’t be leaving for anything less than that.”

Ishak Belfodil netted eight goals in his 33 league appearances for the Gialloblu this past season.
