Tin Jedvaj - Dinamo ZagrebRoma believe they have clinched the signing of Tin Jedvaj from Dinamo Zagreb, despite reported interest from English side Arsenal.

According to reports on tuttomercatoweb.com the Giallorossi are confident they’ve fought off Arsenal for Jedvaj’s signature and have agreed a reported fee of €5 million with Zagreb.

Jedvaj will compete with the likes of Marquinhos, Leandro Castán and Nicolás Burdisso for a starting berth in Rudi Garcia’s team.

Jedvaj is a highly promising Croatian central defender, who made his debut for Zagreb in the league fixture against NK Osijek earlier this year; going on to make 13 appearances for the Croat club to date.

However, contrary reports in the Sun, state that Arsenal could hijack the transfer by offering Zagreb a higher fee in the region of €7 million.

Whether Jedvaj would prefer a move to London where he could struggle to break into the Arsenal first-team remains unclear.
