Colantuono - AtalantaRoma have contacted Atalanta and coach Stefano Colantuono about the possibility of him taking over on the vacant bench in the capital.

The Giallorossi have chosen not to offer Aurelio Andreazzoli, who took the reins during the season after Zdenek Zeman was sacked, a long-term role at the club after their disappointing end to the season.

Mediaset report that as a result sporting director Walter Sabatini has gotten in touch with the Orobici to sign him but only if their potential deal for Laurent Blanc falls through.

The Frenchman is Roma’s number one priority but should that move not progress in the manner they hope then they will move for the Atalanta man.

AC Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri was among the men linked with the job but he now seems set to stay at San Siro.
