Diego Fabbrini - UdineseWatford are set to take further advantage of their close relationship with Udinese by acquiring three more of their players for next season.

Due to Giampaolo Pozzo having interest with both clubs, a number of Zebrette players moved to Vicarage Road last season and tried to help Gianfranco Zola’s side gain Premier League promotion and there is expected to be a similar scenario next season.

Sportitalia report that the players set to depart the Friuli are Diego Fabbrini, Gabriele Angella and Marco Faraoni.

Forward Fabbrini has not lived up to the early expectations and failed to force his way into Francesco Guidolin’s plans despite being one of the few strikers in the side.

Angella, 24, made 14 appearances and scored four times from central defence for the Friuliani last season while former Inter winger Faraoni is one of the more talented youngsters in Udine.

On-loan? Just thinking about the criticism Watford received for having so many “loan” players supplied by the owners last season: and the changes just made by the football authority.
