Dusan Basta UdineseUdinese president Franco Soldati has made it clear that Inter aren’t the only club pursuing defender Dusan Basta this summer.

Reports have linked Basta with a move to the Nerazzurri since Walter Mazzarri arrived at the club.

However, Soldati has claimed that many clubs from around the world have been looking to strike a deal for the player while insisting that the 28-year-old is happy at the Zebrette.

The president spoke to FCInterNews about Basta and also mentioned the situation of midfielder Mauricio Isla, who is co-owned by Udinese and Juventus.

“I read in the newspapers that a deal had been done, but I can assure you nothing has been defined,” said Soldati.

“Inter aren’t the only club to have asked us for him, as we’ve received requests from many Italian and overseas teams.

“The lad is happy here, like all our other players. He never asked us to leave.

“The Bianconeri haven’t decided what to do with Isla. It’s all in their hands.”

Dusan Basta signed with Udinese in 2008 and made 27 league appearances for the club this past season.
