The agent of Sassuolo midfielder Carl Valeri has insisted that the player will remain at Sassuolo for the foreseeable future.
Valeri’s career at the Stadio Alberto Braglia has been frustrated by injury but the Australian international is determined to stay and help the club.
Sassuolu were promoted to the Serie A last season, the first time in the clubs history and the 28-year-old wants to help the club to stay in Italy’s top league.
The midfielder spent most of last season in the treatment room and was thus unable to aid in the promotion campaign.
“He [Carl Valeri] wants to stay and he has a great desire to return to the field after the injury that kept him out for a long time, last season,” Luca Urbani told Tuttomercatoweb.
“He wants to lend a hand to Sassuolo and especially wants to finally debut in Serie A. ”
