Cristiano Biraghi ItalyThe agent of Inter defender Cristian Biraghi has denied that Sunderland are looking to sign his client, though he did state playing in England is the dream of every player.

Biraghi, who is co-owned by the Nerazzurri and Cittadella, is coming off a summer where he featured for the Italian Under 21 side that finished runners up to Spain at the recent European Championships.

As a result it has been reported that Sunderland are looking into acquiring his services, though his agent has stated that a transfer is unlikely to take place at this time.

“Sunderland? Honestly I don’t know anything about it,” Mario Giuffredi told fcinternews.it.

“I don’t know if they spoke to Inter but we are waiting for the Nerazzurri’s decision. There are talks about what is best for the player and the idea is that of loaning him out.

“The English championship is the dream of every player. There has been several inquiries from Serie A clubs but none of which have been truly interesting.”
