Darren BentRoma are reportedly keeping a watchful eye on Aston Villa striker Darren Bent.

The Serie A side have apparently been looking to the Premier League in hopes of finding a new forward, as it’s speculated that the team are also interested in Arsenal’s Gervinho.

The Giallorossi have reportedly contacted Aston Villa regarding the availability of the 29-year-old, but it’s assumed they are just testing the waters and have yet to make an official offer.

According to Calciomercato.it, the Lions are willing to sell Bent for somewhere around €6- €7 million.

The striker has also been linked to Premier League club Newcastle United, with sources putting them ahead of Roma as favourites to land the player.

Bent joined Aston Villa in 2011 when the club signed him from Sunderland for close to €20.8m. He only scored three goals in 16 league appearance for the Villans last season.
