Trezeguet - River PlateJuventus legend David Trezeguet is set to leave Argentine club River Plate.

Trezeguet, now 35, is seeking a new club. While his agent, Antonio Caliendo, claims that several teams in Italy are willing to offer the French World Cup winner a contract, it is Trezeguet’s wish to remain in South America.

Caliendo told Tuttomercatoweb that both Bologna and Verona had been in touch seeking the strikers services.  The more likely destination would be in Brazil or even Mexico.

When Caliendo was asked if his client was definitely not staying in Argentina, he told the TMW, “Pretty much, at least not with River.”

Trezeguet’s honours with Juventus include two Serie A titles, two Suppercoppas and the Serie B title.
