Matias Ezequiel Schelotto InterAfter making initial moves to take unwanted Inter attacker Ezequiel Schelotto from the San Siro Chievo have stated that they are considering their options before proceeding with a move for the Argentinean-born Italian international.

It would appear that the Flying Donkeys had begun negotiations for the 24-year-old but sporting director Giovanni Sartori admitted that the two clubs suspended the deal while the Gialloblu assess their current squad first.

“We are experiencing a deadlock situation, and we are considering who we have in the team before bringing forward the negotiation,” Sartori told Sport Italia.

It is unknown whether the former Atalanta forward would welcome a move to Chievo, however, it has been made clear by new Inter coach Walter Mazzarri that he has little chance of playing time with the Nerazzurri next season and should seek first-team opportunities elsewhere.

Schelotto only joined Inter in January and went onto make 12 Serie A appearances for the club, his only goal the equaliser in the derby with city rivals AC Milan in February.
