Former Inter right-back Giulio Donati says he is happy in Germany after his transfer to Bayer Leverkusen.
The 23 year old former Nerazzurri player completed his move to the Lowen last month after impressing in UEFA under-21 European Championship in Israel where Italy under-21 team lost in the finals to Spain.
Speaking to Sportitalia Donati said, “the relegation with Grosseto was tough, but the European [U21] Championship has taken away some of the disappointment.
“Bayer Leverkusen was a great chance, I have just arrived, I have been accepted with pleasure.
“I visited the sports center after my medical examinations and I cannot wait to start.”
Despite spending five years with the Biscione, the former Lucchese junior never made a single appearance in Serie A for the team.
