Former Pescara playmaker delighted with Porto move

Juan Quintero - PescaraFormer Pescara attacking midfielder Juan Fernando Quintero has stated he is overjoyed at securing a move to Portuguese giants Porto.

The Colombian international made 17 appearances last season during his only campaign with the Delfini and is considered to be one of the best young players in Europe.

He was previously linked with a move to Inter, AC Milan and Manchester United before signing with the Portuguese club.

The Dragao-based side confirmed on their official website that they paid €5 million for the 20-year-old with another €5m due over the next two years to take the overall deal to over €10m.

The contract also includes a €40m release clause and lasts for four years.

Quintero told Porto’s press team of his delight at signing for the Primeira Liga champions.

“I always wanted to come to this club” he stated.

“I come here with great hope of winning titles. I am very happy, for this in an important step in my career.

“Now my main concern is working hard every day.”
