Inter have reportedly been given permission by Roma to speak to Brazilian midfielder Marquinho.
Nerazzurri coach Walter Mazzarri is keen to bring the Brazilian to the San Siro as a move for Juventus midfielder Mauricio Isla has stalled in recent weeks.
Tuttosport have revealed that the Nerazzurri can now start negotiations with the 27-year-old as Roma deem him surplus to requirements.
Marquinho is currently valued at €4.5 million by the Giallorossi, who he originally joined in 2012 on loan from Brazilian side Fluminense before making the move permanent later that year in a €4m deal.
The Brazilian midfielder made 26 appearances last season for Roma, scoring four goals in the process, while Isla made just 11 appearances for the champions without scoring.
