Llorente - JuventusNew Juventus signing Fernando Llorente has stated he is looking forward to helping the Bianconeri win their third consecutive Scudetto next season.

The latest addition to the Bianconeri ranks has made it clear that he has moved to the club to succeed and win many trophies with the Italian giants.

The player spoke to fans across the world through an exclusive live stream on the clubs official website where he talked about his plans for the upcoming season.

“It’s a dream for me to play here. I want to develop as a player and I’m at the best team in which to do so,” Llorente stated

“The most important thing is to help the team to win and achieve its third consecutive Scudetto, something that hasn’t been done since 1935. That would be something great to aim for.”

Llorente scored over 100 goals in his eight seasons with Athletic Bilbao first-team but stated that the chance to play Champions League football was what attracted him to the Bianconeri.

“I think the Champions League is a very difficult competition. You’re up against very difficult opponents but we mustn’t put ourselves under pressure and instead take one step at a time.

I’m capable of playing alongside anyone, they’re all great players here and I’m very happy to play alongside them.

“The fans’ welcome surprised me a great deal, it was incredible and spectacular.”

“I would like to thank all the supporters who followed my arrival, and tell them that I’m delighted to be here and wear a shirt as prestigious as the black and white stripes of Juventus.”

“I was able to talk to Conte a few times. He seemed nice and I am very happy to be able to work with him. They deserved to win the title last season and hopefully we can do it again together.

“I am in great shape, as I worked for two years with Marcelo Bielsa, who is a very tough Coach in training. I also trained during the summer vacation to be ready for this experience.”

Llorente is coming off a difficult season at Bilbao as he was frozen out of the first team after refusing to sign a contract extension with the club.

“Unfortunately talks did not go well and the press contributed to creating a negative image, which consequently turned the fans against me too. It wasn’t the way I wanted it to go and I’ll always be grateful to Athletic.

“At this moment I am living the dream of growing as a player and have come to the best club to achieve that.
