Julio Cesar - QPRNapoli are edging closer to finally completing the signing Queens Park Rangers goalkeeper Julio Cesar.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the 33-year-old is returning from his vacation and is set to meet with agent Mauro Bousquet to work out a deal with the Partenopei that will benefit both sides.

The Brazilian international is asking for €2.7 million a season, but is reportedly open to accepting the €2.4m offer from Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis.

The former Inter man has also been linked to Roma and Premier League side Arsenal, but it seems the Azzurri are leading the race for his signature.

Sources speculate that the player is being brought to Naples as a possible replacement for current keeper Morgan De Sanctis, who has also been on the Giallorossi’s radar and could be sold to them if the Cesar deal goes through.

Julio Cesar spent the 2012-13 campaign in England with QPR as they were relegated from the Premier League.
