Martin Skrtel LiverpoolNapoli are thought to be pleased with how their efforts so far to bring Liverpool centre-back Martin Skrtel to the club are progressing.

The Partenopei have already enjoyed a very successful mercato despite losing star striker Edinson Cavani and have been responsible for one man leaving the Anfield exit door for them, that man being Pepe Reina.

Gazzetta dello Sport are today reporting that the players is estimated somewhere between €7 million and €10m but there is hope that due to the good relations between the sides, they may be able to secure him at an even cheaper fee or, although it would be unlikely, perhaps even on a loan move.

Skrtel could also be keen on linking up with the Vesuviani given that Rafael Benitez is a former coach of his and Slovakian compatriot Marek Hamsik is a close friend of his.

However, a move for him may also depend on whether or not they can sell defenders Federico Fernandez and Alessandro Gamberini.
