Demba Ba ChelseaNapoli are considering acquiring the services of Chelsea striker Demba Ba as they attempt to add more depth to their attack.

The Partenopei are looking to secure two strikers for next season following Edinson Cavani’s €64.5 million move to Paris Saint-German.

According to TuttoMercatoWeb, the Senegalese international is the latest name to be linked with a move to Napoli and could leave Chelsea to meet up with former manager Rafa Benitez.

Benitez was appointed interim manager in November of 2012, while Ba left Newcastle for the Blues during the winter transfer window.

Ba’s signing would not exclude the acquisition of another striker by the Partenopei, with Real Madrid goalscorer Gonzalo Higuain reportedly close to sealing a move to the club.

After joining Chelsea in January, Ba went on to make 22 appearances for Chelsea while netting six times for last seasons Europa League champions.
