Cavani - NapoliNapoli and PSG are close to finalizing a €64 million transfer that will see heralded striker Edinson Cavani join the Parisian side.

The Uruguayan striker has been the summer’s most sought after commodity with the likes of Real Madrid, Manchester City and Chelsea all linked with a move for the 26-year-old.

However, several outlets in Italy are reporting that PSG and Napoli have agreed to a transfer fee with the Uruguayan’s approval the only thing preventing the deal from being official.

Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis met with PSG’s Leonardo and Jean-Claude Blanc in Rome on Thursday night where it is reported an agreement was reached for €64 million.

It is expected that PSG will then offer the star striker a five-year contract worth  €8 million a season.

Reports indicate that Napoli would then use the money to sign Fiorentina’s Stevan Jovetic and Manchester City’s Edin Dzeko as replacements for the former Palermo man.

Cavani has been with the Partenopei since 2010 after joining from Palermo for €17 million. In 138 appearances for the club he has scored 104 goals for the 2012 Coppa Italia winners.
