New Juventus signing Angelo Ogbonna has revelled his pride in joining the club.
The Italian international move across town from rivals Torino for a fee of around €12 million.
“I’m very proud to be here,” he stated in a press conference. “I’ve joined one of the best teams in the world and it’s a great opportunity for me.
“I already knew the majority of my new team-mates, living in the same city makes it easier.
“The only team who really wanted me was Juventus, no-one else.
“I’ve had a positive welcome from the fans, my team-mates and the coach.
“I’m a professional and always focus on the present and future. Moving here fit in perfectly with my ambitions.
“I’ve joined a great team comprised of many champions. I’ll look to do my best and find a place in the side.
“Playing alongside my new team-mates could also help me as far as my progress with the national team is concerned.
“The derby [with Torino] is an important game. I’m a professional and will look to cause the opposition difficulty in any game I play.
“It’s immensely satisfying to be part of a team playing in the Champions League and winners of back-to-back titles.
“The work here is different, I’ll look to bridge the gap with those who are already used to this type of preparation.”
