Brazilian footballer Douglas Maicon has officially joined Roma on a two-year contract.
Maicon, who left Manchester City after making only 11 Premier League appearances, was already practicing with his new teammate during the preseason, but Roma had not made an announcement until today.
“Roma have underwritten a contract with player Maicon Douglas Sisenando, to last two years, with expiration set for June 30 2015,” said the official website.
“The player comes from Manchester City FC, with whom he terminated his contract by mutual consent at the moment he signed for Roma.”
Maicon had previously starred at Inter from 2006-2012, making 176 appearances.
