With Premier League side Liverpool fighting to hang on to star striker Luis Suarez it has reported in Italy that they have identified Udinese’s Colombian starlet Luis Muriel as a potential replacement for the Uruguayan.
On Tuesday evening the English side rejected a massive €46.4 million bid from Arsenal for the striker fuelling speculation that it is becoming increasing difficult to retain his services.
However, Tuttomercatoweb Liverpool could look to Muriel as a replacement should Suarez leave the club.
Despite signing for the club in 2010 from Deportivo Cali the 22-year-old spent the following two seasons on loan with Granada in Spain and then Lecce.
During his first full season with Udinese last term the rising star showed his future potential with some stunning displays as he netted 11 times in just 22 Serie A matches, seven of those appearances from the substitutes bench.

One word in your headline destroys your argument, and that is (Starlet). Liverpool is full of Starlets but not the finished article and that is what we need now. He could be one for the future though depending on his price.
I have been watching this fella since April and even said it in few of my comments, this Luis can and will be better than the Uruguayan. And if we can get Luciano Vietto from Racing, and Bernard, these boys will be exciting watch next season.
He would be perfect, lets hope that Rodgers is aware and already making moves.
LFC should build the team around suarez. FSG should the cash to encourage Suàrez to stay and the club a real competitive this season, failure to which the club will nose-dive. The club will be an academy ground producing players and releasing them to anywhere anytime., stop kidding with starlets….
any team wud love to have him think he shud shud stay in italy though
Brendan Rodgers listen closely! Sign
Luis Muriel! Believe me when I say, this kid is going to be one of the greats!!!
