AC Milan officially announce striker’s loan move to Catania
The Sicilian side will have the option to buy half the rights to the 19-year-old, who has recently made two substitute appearances for the Rossoneri in pre-season friendlies against LA Galaxy and Chelsea, at the end of the 2013/14 season.
The news, announced on Milan’s official website, comes on the same morning as Boateng renewed his contract with the Diavolo, extending it until 2017.
The Ghanaian-born forward, who has played three times for Italy’s Under-19 side, has expressed optimism about the move.
“It’s not easy for me to leave my teammates in the Primavera squad, but it’s a great opportunity,” Boateng told Sky Sport Italia.
“I want to demonstrate my qualities at Catania and get noticed.”
