Emiliano Viviano FiorentinaArsenal have been linked with a move for Palermo goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano as the Italian continues to look for a new club for the new season.

After spending last season on loan at Fiorentina, the 27-year-old returned to Palermo this summer. However he may find first team football hard to come by with veteran Stefano Sorrentino currently the number one at the Stadio Renzo Barbera.

Sportitalia reports that the Gunners are seriously looking into signing the former Inter and Bologna man as Arsene Wenger is unhappy with the play of Wojciech Szcz?sny and ?ukasz Fabia?ski in the Arsenal goal.

While talks are still at an early stage, it is believed that a bid of €7 million would be needed to land the Italian.

Viviano made 32 appearances for Fiorentina last season but the club did not exercise their option on the player after inconsistent performances throughout the season, leading to his return to the Rosanero.
