James Troisi - AtalantaBlackburn Rovers are thought to be preparing a move for Atalanta forward James Troisi.

The Australian, who is co-owned by Juventus and Atalanta, made only six appearances for Stefano Colantuono’s men last season, and any prospects of first team football at his other parent club in Turin look even more sparse.

Tuttomercatoweb reports that the 25 year old could complete his move to the English Championship in the next few days and join a club which is one of only five to have lifted the English Premier League title.

Troisi undertook the majority of his footballing development with Adelaide City and Newcastle United in his homeland before moving to Turkish football in 2008.

A hugely successful spell for Kayserispor, in which he made 64 appearances and scored ten goals, lead to him signing for Juventus in August 2012, although half of his rights were sold to the Bergamo club soon after.

This likely move to one of England’s most recently tumultuous clubs, with the Venky owners appointing four managers in the past season alone, would see the Australian international’s career enter its fourth country.
