Barcelona reject Napoli interest in star forward

Alexis Sanchez - Barcelona have had their interest in shot down by , according to reports.

Naples emerged as a possible destination for Alexis Sanchez, who could spend another season on the fringes of the Barcelona first team after their signing of Neymar.

TuttoMercatoWeb report that new Barcelona manager Gerardo Martino has told Sanchez that he will not be on the market and will be an important part of their plans for next season.

A return to Italy in the form of a move to Juventus, Inter or Napoli had been mooted but it now appears that Sanchez will remain in Spain.

Sanchez left Udinese in the summer of 2011 for €40 million, making 38 appearances in all competitions and scoring 11 goals.
