Cagliari star set for Inter move after sale of Nerazzurri is complete?
The Belgian international has been highly sought after this summer, with both Inter and Roma heavily linked with a move for the 25-year-old. However, Rossoblu owner Cellino has stated on more than one occasion he would prefer to keep the former Piacenza midfielder in Sardinia.
Despite those claims, Telelombardia are reporting that the fiery president was tracked down on the beach and admitted to one of their reporters that Nainggolan will join the Nerazzurri on August 25.
The report states that a move will only become official then because Erick Thohir’s move to become majority owner of the club will be completed on August 20.
The move would thus allow Thohir to begin his era at the club with a player of Indonesian descent as Nainggolan’s father is from the Asian country.
The Antwerp native made 34 appearances and scored two goals for the Isloni last season as they finished the campaign in 11th position.
