Curva Nord to be closed following Lazio racism
The Biancocelesti lost 4-0 to Juventus and during the closing stages of the game jeers were directed towards Kwadwo Asamoah and Paul Pogba.
According to Sport Mediaset, the sporting courts have decided that the Curva Nord will be closed for one match as a punishment for the fans’ behaviour.
This is not the first time racist behaviour has haunted Lazio as in February they were fined and ordered by UEFA to play two Europa League matches behind closed doors following racist chanting by a section of their fans.
Elsewhere in Italian football, the Trofeo TIM, a pre-season tournament involving Juventus, AC Milan and Sassuolo, was also blighted by racist chanting.
